“The diverse range of clients and staff is the best thing about working at Vitality club“

For a Client Services Officer, there are many reasons why Vitality Club is such a fantastic place to work. Working for Vitality Club means that we are able to stand out as friendly faces in care as part of an industry-leading care provider that delivers high quality, personalised and holistic services.

Each day with Vitality Club, Client Services Officers have the opportunity to positively impact older Australians in their diverse and busy role- let’s just say the CSOs wear many hats! For example, in a typical day a CSO can: educate clients about the My Aged Care and Home Care Package journey, educate clients about the range of services offered, take and process payments, schedule and booking in appointments, follow up with social workers and case managers about care plans, conduct welfare check in calls and feedback calls about how client’s services are going...the list goes on!

In doing calls with Vitality Club’s clients, Client Services Officers are able to connect with older Australians with diverse lived experiences and a range of backgrounds. When asked about her favourite thing about working with Vitality Club, CSO Kathryn Creighton advised “I really do look forward to coming to work...and hearing about all the different life experiences and stories that our many clients have had”. CSO Katie Trpkoska echoed this sentiment, “the diverse range of clients and staff is the best thing about working at Vitality club, we interact with people from all walks of life”.

While assisting clients with their aged care needs, CSOs are also there to lend an ear and in doing so we have the pleasure of hearing funny stories, touching tales and grateful thank you’s’. We especially love when our clients share a joke with us, we love to have a laugh! This connection is especially important for us and our clients in a time where Covid 19’s restrictions can make it difficult to do the things we used to do, like catching up with our friends and family. At Vitality Club, we know that by treating our clients as if they were family we are also contributing to the wellbeing of the greater community.

Another amazing thing about working for Vitality Club is the terrific team culture, Covid 19 restrictions haven’t stopped this! Each week Vitality Club’s staff participate in Stretch Club, a 15 minute exercise and stretching session run by one of our fabulous Exercise Physiologists. We now do this online and it is a lot of fun and helps us to bond as a team. Plus, the exercises get our endorphins going which means we feel really great afterwards which shows in our glowing smiles.

Another way we stay connected as a team is through our banter! CSO Kathryn Creighton agrees, “I enjoy having a laugh with my colleagues as we discuss what we're having for dinner that night”. At Vitality Club there is always something fun to look forward to, like our recent trivia night which let’s just say definitely brought out some staff members' competitive streak!
